A few tips to help your online sales for the Holidays

I thought I would give a few tips to help you online store cash in this holiday season with our have to spend your cash out.

I hope these help

Tip #1

Let people know who you are Customers will be more likely to step their hard earned money if there is some sort of face to the web store. People want to feel like they are dealing with real people not just some faceless computer. Take the time to add some photos of you or your staff write a nice little about page. Make sure you have a phone number on your site and place in a very easy to see location.

Tip #2

Simple is the way to go !!!! Clean up your website make is really easy for some one to find what they need. More is not better in this case. Add the top selling items to your front page. Do not waste space with things you don’t need. Remember you only have these customers for about 10 seconds and if they can’t find what they need fast they will click away.

Tip #3

Send out your e-newsletters with a point. Clean up your e-newsletters make them right to the point. At this time of year people are getting smashed with email deals and sales from all over the net. Make yours stand out keep it clean and to the point. If you have a coupon or free shipping let it be known do not hide the coupon code at the bottom make it right up front.

Tip #4

Facebook yourself all the way to the bank. Take time and update your twitter accounts and facebook pages. This is will you will find new and ready to shop customers. Put deals on facebook that if they become a fan they get 00% off. Make sure to keep all your blogs, youtubes and tweets up to date. 80% of people find what they need through Social Networking. Do not miss out.

Phases Design Studio is bad for business

Its this kinda of design studio that really make design studios look bad. I have a good friend of the family that was starting his new business and he did a little research to find a design house to help him with his new business. You know Business cards, investor kits , logo, and website. Now remember he is fresh out of school new to all this and trying to get his feet wet. Phases Quoted him 12000.00 for this package. Told him they were the best design house in the area. Now don’t get me wrong part of this is his fault as well for not looking around for a better price. In the end the he called me to show me the work he had done. Now what he showed was just Jpg of the work. They had already cashed his last check and still had not given him the business cards or investor kits. They were over 3 months late. They did not want to give any of the money back. They clammed they worked for every penny. After looking at the work I would have not paid any more then 400.00 for the work they did. It looked like a first year photoshop kid did it. This place was a huge Rip off the work was very poor. Now there are a ton of design houses out there but I say beware if this one. Here is their listing on Yelp Please when you are looking for a design house ask for past clients and ask for sample work. If they don’t want to give it to you then they most likey are a bad firm. Phases Design Studio I will make sure every one in the design community knows how you work. Your lucky I did not post your design work for all to see. Clean up your act!!!! Your making us all look bad.

Quick Beginner Tips for After Effects

We I first launched After Effects I was over overwhelmed and started to Panic. Well Don’t here are a few quick tips to get you started.

First things first start off by going to Video Copilot for their

Out of all the site I went to for help this was the best I found.

Here are a few quick tips that help me and may help you.

1. When using RAM Preview set Resolution to Quarter this will help for faster rendering.

2.Remember the layer work the same way they do in photoshop. The top layer sits on top of the other layers.

3.In order to export your movie for use you must go to the top menu > Composition > Make movie – or hit command M

4.Remember before you Render you movie in order to get audio you must click on lossless under best setting in the render queue then you will get a pot up box click the check box called audio output at the button.

5. Also in lossless you can choose how you export the movie or render the move under format. For youtube.com I choose H.264

6. Dont forget to hit the render button to the right to export/render your move.
